Fences and gates installed at DWC at a cost of AED26 million

The world's largest airport, Dubai World Central (DWC), in the United Arab Emirates, has installed fences and gates stretching across a total of 80 kilometres at a cost of AED26 million.

The fences and gates cover the unfenced sections of DWC site boundary, all free zone area across Dubai Logistics City and DWC Aviation City, and the Phase 1 of the airfield. A total of around 30,000 tonnes of steel and wires were used throughout the entire area.

Other infrastructure work within DWC such at the cargo terminal building, control tower, navigational aids, aprons and taxiways, central utility complexes (CUC), electrical substation, fuel staging area, fire stations and police facility are expected to be completed soon.
